I HATE the spouts nowadays on new gas cans - with a passion. So I was looking to replace a couple of those and I have several old gas cans on which the spouts had dried and cracked. Found these spouts / vent caps and they were a perfect fit. Also replaced one of the new can spouts with one of these. I am presently ordering one more package. Not sure why other reviewers are complaining about the size. The ad plainly shows the dimensions of what these will fit. I measured before I ordered to confirm they would fit and they did. Great product so far on three cans and no leaks.

This 5 gal gasoline can was a real struggle when full to pour into a smaller gas can. With the original leak proof valve the operation not to spill the gas was pain. With that built in spring in the spout and pushing in and holding 30 lbs. (full can) steady is a joke. I went with this "new" spout. We had these for decades. Too funny. I reused the fuel blank plug (in red) from the original can for transporting fuel. The 3 pack works great! I also put a vent on the can. This kit comes with vents but I chose to buy a different Amazon vent for my application. I did a review on that product too.
